dc.description.abstract	En este breve escrito, basado en el análisis histórico de la ciudad de Guanajuato capital, se denota la importancia que tiene actualmente una de sus actividades económicas más antiguas que además dieron origen a esta emblemática ciudad: la minería. la temática principal es el reconocimiento de la minería, sus elementos y aplicaciones, como una actividad económica que da identidad a esta ciudad que actualmente es considerada patrimonio de la humanidad. a través de su pasado, encontraremos cómo se desarrolló dicha actividad en el territorio que comprende la capital hoy en día; partiendo de ello, analizaremos el estatus de la minería en la ciudad: qué elementos continúan preservando su pasado minero y de qué manera; encontraremos cómo es que se ha conservado su identidad minera a través de distintos sitios, monumentos y actividades. todo ello resuelto bajo los conceptos de autores como MECD (Ministerio de Cultura y Deporte de España), Ráhola Casanelles, Villas Bôas, Castillo, López-Guzmán Guzmán, Millán. dc.description.abstractEnglish	In this brief written, based in the history ́s research of Guanajuato capital, I show the importance who has one of the oldest economic activities which also gave origin to this emblematic city: the mining. The main theme is the recognition of mining, their elements and applications, as an economic activity which give identity to this city who’s actually considered World Heritage. Through their past, we will found the development of mining in the territory comprising the capital nowadays; leading from this, we will look forward to the analysis of the mining status in the city: which elements continue to preserve their mining past and in which way; we will found how her mining identity has been conserved through different sites, monuments and activities, all of them under the concepts and knowledge of autors like MECD (Ministerio de Cultura y Deporte de España), Ráhola Casanelles, Villas Bôas, Castillo, López-Guzmán Guzmán, Millán.
