| dc.description.abstract | El ensayo analiza varios temas diferenciados pero relacionados: la noción de modernidad, las relaciones del discurso histórico con el surgimiento y desarrollo de ésta, el paso de la historia como disciplina humanista tradicional a ciencia social y la conveniencia de un mayor diálogo interdisciplinario. Se expone una noción de modernidad que enfatiza el impacto del colonalismo europeo en su surgimiento y desarrollo; el impacto que el discurso histórico tuvo en la definición del discurso moderno y algunas de sus implicaciones en esta modernidad colonial. Se reflexiona sobre el nacimiento de las ciencias sociales en el siglo xix y algunas particularidades del discurso histórico en este proceso, defendiendo la conveniencia de un mayor diálogo de éste con otros discursos y saberes. | es_MX |

| dc.description.abstractEnglish | The essay analyzes several different but related themes: the notion of modernity; the relationships of historical discourse with the emergence and development of modernity; the passage of history between a traditional humanistic discipline to social science, and the convenience of more interdisciplinary dialogue. It exposes a notion of modernity that emphasizes the impact of European colonalism in its emergence and development; the impact that the historical discourse had on the definition of modern discourse, and some of its implications in this colonial modernity. It reflects on the birth of the social sciences in the 19th century and some peculiarities of the historical discourse in this process, defending the convenience of enlarge the dialogue of this with other discourses and knowledge. | es_MX |
