dc.description.abstractCon el objetivo de analizar las características, necesidades de capacitación y tecnología, así como la problemática que enfrentan los apicultores en la región centro-sur de Jalisco, se entrevistó a 33 apicultores, elegidos mediante muestreo dirigido, de los municipios de Guadalajara, Zacoalco de Torres y Zapotiltic, entre noviembre 2019 y febrero 2020. Se encontró que, en promedio, la edad de los encuestados fue de 57 años con 23 años de experiencia en la apicultura y 394 colmenas por apicultor. La producción de miel representa la actividad principal para aquellos con más de 70 colmenas. El rendimiento anual por colmena osciló entre 10 kg y 30 kg. Se identificaron 18 aspectos relacionados con la necesidad de capacitación y tecnología, destacando la comercialización y el equipo apícola. Así mismo, 23 problemas limitan la actividad, principalmente plagas, enfermedades y deforestación. Se concluye que los apicultores considerados presentan heterogeneidad de características y condiciones productivas que corresponden a las necesidades de capacitación y tecnología.es_MX

Likewise, 23 problems limit this activity, especially pests, diseases, and deforestation. It is concluded that beekeepers present heterogeneous characteristics and productive conditions that correspond to the needs of training and technology.en
