dc.description.abstract	La ciudad es un artefacto que puede o no permitir al ser humano el envejecimiento activo, al presentar características físicas que brinden oportunidades de salud, seguridad y participación, a los adultos mayores y a los que envejecen. Con base en la Guía “Ciudades Globales Amigables con los Mayores”, publicada por la Organización Mundial de la Salud, y diversos manuales de Accesibilidad Universal, se buscó determinar el grado de cumplimiento de las aceras, como característica de la ciudad de León, Guanajuato, como amigable con los adultos mayores. En este estudio se resalta que León brinda gran área de oportunidad para esta parte de la población, pues basados en los sitios que se eligieron de acuerdo con un estudio de espacios de interés para las personas que viven su vejez en la ciudad, la mayoría cumple con los lineamientos que las normas especifican, que favorecen una buena calidad de vida y el envejecimiento activo.	es_MX

dc.description.abstractEnglish	The city is an artifact that may or may not allow the human being active aging, by presenting physical characteristics that provide opportunities for health, safety and participation, to the elderly and to those who age. Based on the "Global Friendly Cities with the Elderly" Guide, published by the World Health Organization, and various manuals on Universal Accessibility, we sought to determine the degree of compliance of the sidewalks, as a characteristic of the city of León, Guanajuato, as friendly with older adults. In this study it is highlighted that León provides a great opportunity area for the elderly, since based on the sites that were chosen according to a study of spaces of interest for people who live their old age in the city, most comply with the guidelines that the standards specify, which favor a good quality of life and active aging	-
