dc.description.abstractEl suelo es un entorno rico en especies, entre los organismos presentes están los nematodos entomopatógenos. Estos nematodos pertenecen a las familias Steinernematidae y Heterorhabditidae y provocan altos índices de mortalidad en insectos. Uno de los antiparasitarios utilizados contra nematodos tanto de animales como de plantas es el tiabendazol. El objetivo del presente estudio fue evaluar la susceptibilidad de los nematodos entomopatógenos a tiabendazol al 5%. Los resultados de susceptibilidad variaron de 0 a 85.70%. El estudio mostró que existe susceptibilidad de los NEPs al tiabendazol al 5%, diferenciándose los porcentajes de mortalidad por la cepa de nematodo utilizado.es_MX

dc.description.abstractEnglishSoil is a numerous environment in species, among the present organisms are the entomopathogenic nematodes. These nematodes belong to the families Steinernematidae and Heterorhabditidae and cause high mortality rates in insects. The antiparasitic drugs used against nematodes of both animals and plants is the thiabendazole. The goal of this study was to evaluate the susceptibility of entomopathogenic nematodes to 5% to thiabendazole. In the laboratory was reproduced in vivo nematodes and once obtained the infective juvenile, collected and determined the concentration, by dilution was adjusted to the amount required for the bioassay. 200 μL were placed in each well with approximately 50 nematodes. It had three treatments, two were witnesses, one with water (negative) and the other with 5% DMSO (positive) and one with the 5% of TBZ total volume of fluid in the well. Counts were carried out of the living and the dead at 0, 24 and 48 hours of having initiated the experiment. The results of susceptibility varied from 0 to 85.70%. The study showed that there is susceptibility of the NEPs to thiabendazole to 5%, differing percentages of mortality due to the nematode strain used.-
