dc.description.abstractActualmente y a nivel mundial, el suicidio es un problema de salud pública mundial, pues esla 3ª. causa de muerte en adolescentes de 15 a 19 años yla 5ª. en menores de 15 años (Organización Mundial de la Salud [OMS], 2015); por consiguiente, resulta impostergable la necesidad de realizaractividades de Prevención del Suicidio en el grupo de niños y jóvenes, con el fin de lograr la detección y canalización oportuna de quienes presenten riesgo.El presente estudio tuvo por objetivo conocer la prevalencia de conductas de riesgo autolesivo en adolescentes vulnerables institucionalizados en un albergue de la ciudad de León, Gto., México. El estudio fue correlacional, y expostfacto, con una muestra no probabilística, de sujetos tipo, siendo un censo de todos los jóvenes albergados. Fueron 55 participantes, ambos sexos, entre 12 a 16 años. Se aplicó el taller Salvando Vidas, validado para la población juvenil mexicana. Los instrumentos utilizados fueron el Inventario de Riesgo e Ideación Suicida y la cédula de Autolesiones; asimismo se aplicó una pre y posprueba para medir el impacto que tuvo la intervención.Los resultados muestran un impacto positivo del 29% y se detectó el 27%de la población con riesgo suicida.es_MX

dc.description.abstractEnglishNowadays and worldwide, suicide is a world public health issue, it is the third cause of death among adolescents from 15 to 19 years old and the fifth among children under 15 (the World Health Organization, 2015); consequently, the urge to carry on Suicide Prevention actions among children and adolescents is unavoidable, this,with the objective of timely detection and channeling of those who are at risk. The present study has the objective of finding out the prevalence of self-harming behavior among vulnerable adolescents institutionalized in shelters in the city of León, Gto., México. The study was correlational and ex post facto, with a non-statistical sample of subjects within the type, consisting of a census of the whole number of young interns. There were 55 participants, both genres, between 12 and 16 years old. They participated in the workshop Salvando Vidas (Saving Lives), valid for the young Mexican population. The instruments used were the Inventory of Risk and Suicide Thinking, and the Self-harm format: likewise, they went through a pre-test and a post-test to measure the impact resulting from their participation. The results show a positive impact of 29%, and a 27% of the population at suicide risk was detected-
